Vinyl trimethoxysilane is suitable for various complex shapes, all densities of polyethylene and copolymers, and offers broad processing tolerance for filled composites. It exhibits high service temperatures, excellent resistance to pressure cracking, memory effect, abrasion resistance, and impact resistance. It functions as both a coupling agent and crosslinking agent, suitable for polymers including polyethylene, polypropylene, and unsaturated polyesters. It also enhances affinity between glass fibres, inorganic fillers, and vinyl-reactive resins. Commonly employed in silane-crosslinked polyethylene cables and pipes.
Application As a cross-linking agent for RTV single-component silicone rubber (alcohol-based), used as a cross-linking agent in polymers (e.g. PE). As a coupling agent for treating various fibres, plastics, and inorganic fillers.
Application Used as a cross-linking agent for cross-linking polyethylene.
