1. Application of Bromophenol Blue CAS 115-39-9:

Bromophenol blue is a colorless or pale rose-pink fine crystalline substance. It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, benzene, and ether, slightly soluble in water, and forms a yellow aqueous solution. In alkaline solutions, it appears blue-violet. Primarily used as an acid-base indicator with a pH color change range of 3.0-4.6, exhibiting a color transition from yellow through green to blue-violet. Additionally employed as a non-aqueous solution titration indicator; adsorption indicator; for protein electrophoresis staining; and in viral testing.
