1. Application of Kallikrein CAS 9001-01-8:

Kallikrein is a chymotrypsin-like protease found in human tissues and mammals, existing in the body as an inactive precursor, chymotrypsinogen, which degrades chymotrypsinogen into active chymotrypsin. Kinin dilates blood vessels and capillaries, increases vascular permeability, improves microcirculation, and regulates blood pressure. Additionally, it reduces myocardial oxygen consumption. This enzyme also functions as an activator, converting plasminogen into active plasmin. This enzyme hydrolyses insoluble fibrin into soluble peptides, thereby inducing thrombolysis, though this action is slower than that of urokinase. It may also regulate and reduce hypertension. Oral absorption is relatively rapid, with a half-life (t1/2) of approximately 7 hours, and it is excreted via the kidneys.
Indications include microcirculatory disorders, occlusive arteriosclerosis, hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis or thrombosis, coronary heart disease, retinal blood flow disorders, thromboangiitis obliterans, intermittent claudication, senile cold extremities, and sensory abnormalities. In severe acute cerebrovascular events, due to its gradual onset, it should be used in combination with other therapeutic agents.
